Dear visitors and kolobok's fans! In a last three months our site makes astronomical traffic load to the hosting server and we are taking a triple traffic limit. Jointly with the technical support of the hoster we decided to stop access for some huge websites and social networking websites that are making a traffic's lion's share. One of most frequently asked question in your mails after "How to I can download smiles?" is "Do you have koloboks made in high resolution?". I already bored to answer that I paint koloboks in such size as they are in reality and I have no any big pictures of koloboks. Besides, using of vector graphics is not my favorite thing. Now then, recently I was contacted by one man who had drawn few koloboks by using of vector graphics. I liked his works and I gave my official permission for repainting of whole koloboks package. Today we publish first packages with such works HD KOLOBOK For QIP PDA and HD KOLOBOK For QIP PDA (Static) for using in mobile devices with high resolution. The author of this remake of koloboks in vector graphics is Sergey Egorov aka StarWind. All of your mails of appreciation you can send to the author.

The kolobok's site at beginning was consisting of koloboks type smileys only. But the site was made with sense as a place to gather people, who draw and create own smileys, but not collect them of over the Web, with feelings of a "great collector". That is why when I'm getting a request from someone to add to the site an own artworks of unique style, I welcome it. A few days ago I was getting a pack exactly like that Rokr smiles. I think these works are deserve to be appreciated. Yes, they are different from the basic concept of a smiley, but this distinction is interesting. The author of these smileys is Rokr. The smileys have been made specially for screens of Pocket PC and smartphones, that is why they are big.

The great mass of our packs are aimed for Windows OS. Unfortunately they are not always working for alternative systems. Surely, most of the users of open-source-programs, are more advanced in stuff of manual tuning, but may be they will like three new standard packs for QutIM. Our visitor under nickname proDOOMman has adapted three packs of koloboks for OS Ubuntu and Debian. All the packs are placed at the files sections of the site.

The Kolobok Toolbar plugin for all versions of browsers has been updated. We're sincerely recommending to install the new version of the plugin, that was diligently made by Heron. Look for the new version of the Kolobok Toolbar plugin at the files section of the site.

Recently a popular internet browser Firefox was updated up to version 3.6. After it koloboks toolbar broke down for many people who used our toolbar. It is not worth while to be despaired or write me indignant letters. Simply update your version of Kolobok Toolbar using files of our site and it will be working as ever. Toolbar version 1.3 is compatible with FF 3.6. It is possible to update using of automatic update of Firefox (menu item Help - Check for Updates).

Koloboks of Big format slowly but confidently find the admirers to whom new emotion is required in one situation or another. I cannot sit from morning to night and draw everything that visitors in letters, at the forum or on the site ask me. Because of it I've made a drawing kit "Kolobok Big GDK" which, by the way, I promised to do for a long time but for now I couldn't find a time to complete it. Now anybody who would like to get a new kolobok of BIG-format can try to draw it.

It will be not superfluous to remind you that any drawing which you will draw by use of this kit will be allowed for use in your personal purposes only.

The totals. Exactly at 9th of november 5 years ago the kolobok's site has been created. Surely the site in distant 2004 was not the same like now. During these years the site was changed twice cardinally. But it is still the home and the place of birth of koloboks. For these five years two new types of koloboks saw the light. The big and mini. Somebody loved them, somebody not. But independently of the size they are staying the same koloboks like they were five years ago. For this time koloboks were recognized officially. The author's opinion and simple artists's opinions became important. Well, not all and not all the way, but it's a small victory though. The pleasant fact that many people associate our koloboks solely with positive emotions. I've never thought that koloboks will be so popular not only at the internet forums but in a letters in the instant messaging programs too. Now hard to decide where they are more popular at the websites or in programs, but collaboration with instant messaging programs has brought to us extensive popularity.

About sad things. It would not be desirable to speak in such day about sad things but after all it is necessary to mention about I do not solve yet the reason on which many gifted artists take off to paintings. Probably I will once solve this and I will return in our harmonious cheerful numbers of what jobs so were grown fond to you. But so far many of interesting galleries don’t updating and this is sad.

About admirers. I wish to say many thanks to all of you! Your comments, letters, messages at the forum give a chance to look in a new way at many things and often encourage me to get down to drawing. But you should understand the more insistently you ask to make any art for you the unwillingness to draw it is more strongly. Any gift in all sincerity (I consider your kind wishes as gift) will be accepted only if instead of ask nothing.

About assistants. I would like to express special thank to everybody who is helping and were helping to the site: to artists, translators, assistants and loyal fans. I won't name names because I'm afraid to forget somebody or to wound somebody's feelings. I speak to everybody: your support, financial aid, kind letters with warm wishes help me much to work on the site and make koloboks. I would not cope with all the stuff well without you.

About the future. I do not build any grandiose plans for the present, though as usual. The life itself will place all in the places. I hope, I will have a rest, I will draw a heap of amusing koloboks which all will like to you and finally all will be as before well! Besides in Internet still remains so many places where don’t know anything about koloboks…
